Besides all the good things already said about the books on here, this made my day. Then the last 35% of the book, it got really good and had some brutal action. They have by far the largest selection and nearly always the best prices. I thought his interpretation of Gloktor was amazing- he added the lisp without making it a mockery. Nobleman, dashing officer and would-be fencing champion Captain Jezal dan Luthar is living a life of ease by cheating his friends at cards.
There is some great characters in these books. What purpose does that serve. It's a finished and wrapped package, in sack cloth and tied with string. I enjoy the excitement and quick read from John Lescroart. Joe, Found you through audible.

In Robert Greene's 48 Laws of power he explain how people will try to decieve you, manipulate you, and in order to protect yourselfs from these kind of people even people who make seem to be honesty and trustworthy however, you need to keep on guard because some of these people too.

Dismas Hardy has fast become one of my favorite literary characters. It was unusually violent and left me feeling very uneasy and guilty if you read it, you'll understand. I know that as good as Audible is I'd support some competition. I am now going to put this theory into action and see what happens. More than that, though, Abercrombie brings a sometimes dry, sometimes dark, but sometimes genuinely funny sense of humor to the story, allowing his characters to be more than just another grim, broken-down soul. Abercrombie writes some damn good characters.
