The language was hilarious, the build up sensuous and the series intriguing. Have read all the books and this kicks the series off in a great way. My Fav carachter so far. However, the books lacks because of the narrator. Her passion for writing started as child with short stories and notes in her diary. I have purchased all there are in the series mainly for the fact that I love Ward's books and I am an impulsive buyer and though I have not regretted my purchase, I have a hard time with some of the scenes. If it does not blow your skirt up, buy the book and read it! They're big macho men, but they really are not in touch with themselves and their doubt, thoughts, worries and dialogue is written in a downright hilarious language that connects you with them and makes you want to follow along for the rest of the ride - just to see if you make it, or hit the wall with a crash.

I've already read in print format, but the great thing about audiobooks is that you often get an entirely different experience listening to them--as if they are a completely different book. He had a nice voice to listen to and he knew how to portray Wrath's character very well, especially Butch's. But his life is not complete. I'll be uselessly serving potato stew for the rest of my life because I can't make anything grow.
This endears the characters to the readers that much more. I think this is the first book that has done this to me. You'll fall in love with these tough, hardcore males who will do anything for the women they love, and the race they're trying to save.
